My husband and I (Swiss) decided to take our children to Rütli to show them this historical place. Beautiful weather, so we decided to have lunch there when we saw there was a restaurant. What terrible welcome we had. A young waitress first ignored us, then my husband (a very smiling person) tried to ask her if it would be possible to eat something and she said no in such a way that my husband thought she was joking!... Had a really nice lunch here. Sat in the open air overlooking the lake. Big parties can reserve space in advance. Hike or take a boat here. Easy to find.
