"Wonderful lunch here today! Welcome to the arrival at a beautiful dame. found a seat and was given 5 minutes to read the menu. so much to choose! that was eating quite fast and was surprisingly fantastic! chips were amazing. right chip shop ones and hubby enjoyed a big breakfast, which was not fat and perfectly cooked. service total was 10/10 and we even discovered the hostess who gives the children free sweets (with parents natural permission! . we recommend this cafe/restaurant/chippy and cannot wait to return!"

"As a couple that both work weekends ! We don’t have time to cook Sunday lunch . So each Sunday we have a takeaway from The George and I must say it never disappoints!!! With a fantastic choice on the Sunday lunch menu , we never get bored and have tried all the meat dishes , all of which have been superb. Just like a home cooked meal . Fresh veg crispy roasties , tender meat and home made Yorkshire and gravy . Definitely recommend"

"That's delicious. the Roast beef was cooked to perfection, plentiful vegetables to accompany it. my man had the plaice and he thought it was amazing. the deserts were for sticky toffe pudding with stiel ingwer eis to die, and chocolate brownie with passion. fruit sorbet. that was our first visit and we were taken back how polite the staff was. a pretty pub. a hidden gem! we can't wait to return. Thank you."
