La Comida - SETTIMO MILANESE

A simple place, trattoria style, fairly traditional looking, this La Cominda, a little tired in the decor perhaps. Our waiter was friendly and took the time to exchange a few words with us too; however a general lack of attention for details in both service...and food presentation wasn't hard to notice in my opinion. My main course, for example, arrived while I was still eating my starter and was left there as if it was a side dish. The tables were oddly organized and some were very close to each other, leaving very little space for manoeuvre. My starter (artichokes and grana cheese) was kind of ok taste wise but rough looking. My main course (tagliatelle with Trevisana Castelmagno cheese) was heavy to the point that I felt defeated half way through. The pizzas were once again all right but nothing special. It's hard to say that we ate badly for the price that we paid (perfectly affordable) however I'm afraid this is not the kind of place that I would recommend or where I would go back.

This is my reference point when go around Settimo for business, if in a 30km area range, I go here for lunch and dinner. Nice place, several seats, its satisfies all needs, since have Pizza, Meat and Seafood. They have several Tuscany dishes. In general...the food quality is excellent, the service is very good and waiters are friendly, often full of people even during week evenings, better to reserve if You are not alone. There is a very big choice on meals, that will satisfy everybody, even people that want to spend few money, You may simply for for their appetizers buffet. They usually also bring a free bruschetta (bread-tomatoes-oil) before You order the meal, or just after the order.

Very nice location, great food and super nice waiter.

Typical Lombard restaurant, informal, excellent quality and price, excellent service.

Pleasant dinner, good quality of food, especially meat cut.
