without repeating me here, the bricklayers arms is excellent. immensely popular and incredibly well run. it has an old British feeling that appeals to most of us. the staff, owners are all warm and welcoming, friendly and enormously efficient and the meals are plentiful and again, excellent. to embellish everything, as well as a being in a beautiful environment, the prices are anything but high! Iam not sure why the ratings are so good for this place. Perhaps they were having an off day but our food was shocking. Fish and chips ,the fish was over cooked and had small amount of fish in the onion rings were rock hard, and my portion of chips must of been the end of bag a plate full of little over cooked chips.
