"Just came down from Homer to celebrate my wedding anniversary and this was the best meal and experience I have had in years! All the employees were so attentive and amazing! The food was perfect! "This spot had lots of fried things (chicken, fries, onion rings) and burgers and not a ton of vegetables. We really enjoyed eating in the bus which had cute animal footprints and local animal info on the walls and ceilings. We ordered from the counter and they called our number to pick up so limited encounters with staff."

"Open until 8. The Smoke Shack is open for dinner. We went there at the end of a cold day. The restaurant is in an old train car and is not particularly warm, but the friendly waitress kept the warm drinks coming. The spicy pulled pork sandwich with homemade barbecue sauce was very tender and filling. Burgers and sandwiches come with beans and coleslaw. I heard that the portobello burger with goat cheese and the special smoked chicken burrito were both good, too."

"The Cookery in Seward Alaska earned my highest recommendation. This farm to table, James Beard restaurant focusing on fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients may be the best in the 48th State. The service is friendly and everything on the menu has s delicious. After having to cancel our reservations because Alaska Airlines messed up our flights again the restaurant went above and beyond to work us in and we received a visit from the lovely owners as well. If you are near Seward make reservations. I was shocked how inexpensive it was for the quality and volume of food you receive. Do yourselves a favor and pay them a visit."
