"Beautiful small coffee shop with its charm. We had the Kreuzaint and Brioche and they were delicious. Crucified on the outside and tasty inside. The staff is super friendly. They offer all kinds of gifts and small art and crafts as well. They were friendly enough to refill our water bottle."

"It was the only open restaurant we could find on a Saturday morning in November. We entered through the boutique. All kinds of unique Alaskan local gifts and trinkets. The next space was a wide open seating area and cafe. We were invited to go upstairs for sit down service. The stairs leading up are beautiful. Their entire space is Seward unique and warm. You must dine upstairs. We sat in a cute little window where we watched many eagles come and go. The best vibes for such a wet, slushy day. Our waitress was the best. She definitely knew the menu and made great suggestions. It was our first time trying Italian Wedding Soup. It had meatballs and pasta and wow, it was everything we needed after a long night of champagne and hot tubing. We also ordered their rice bowl with added steak and their meat eater toast. We washed it all down with a few brews on tap. The best unexpected brunch, thank you Mermaid's Grotto! Can't wait to return to try their King Crab deviled eggs. Mermaid's Grotto is a must when in Seward!"

"Great food! We were visiting from out of town and didn’t know what to expect. Restaurant is two old school buses converted into a dining area and commercial kitchen. Very cool! The cod and fries were delicious as was the caribou cheeseburger."

"We stayed here for two nights and had breakfast twice. Great scones and good breakfast. First day we had a fantastic waitress. We asked for her the second day, but she wasn’t working. Service was less attentive the second day. We tried to have dinner here one night, but we were never able to get in. Not much around the hotel, so make sure you have a reservation."

"Let's start by requiring a reservation. the woman at the front was not good at her job. we are there at 17 o’clock and we were “first on the list”, which translates, does not play any role. After 75 minutes I was told that it was 60 minutes. we have a table around 19:30, but it was worth waiting. I think. our waitress was great, friendly and helpful. the food was super good. of course I have the fish, the whispers, where good, but maybe not worth $12. I heard the oysters were great, but I'm allergic. so under the line, reserve. but they made it to us, it was a meilenstein birthday and they sang gently happy birthday with us. I appreciate the rest, but the nity they have provided. many thanks for waiting for"
