"Resurrection art coffeehouse and gallery is a very cute coffee shop with really beautiful art from local artists in the area. When it comes to options for vegans there is tea and caffeinated beverages with alternative dairy options such as soy almond oats another milks. The mocas are also vegan as they use Ghirardelli for the chocolate. Went in planning on just getting a coffee left buying several pieces of art! The employees were curious about plant-based eating and one of them had even been vegan for 10 years and was open to exploring exploring plant-based life. The employees are also super friendly. The shop is in what looks like an old church of some sort. It has a beautiful outdoor area to enjoy food and conversations or just to relax and enjoy the nice outdoors. And as with many areas in Seward, there are amazing views of the mountains."

"This is just a simple little place with a big smoker and outdoor seating. I had a seriously amazing pork belly sandwich, but the beans were a bland afterthought. Still, the meat is what you go there for, and that is top-notch."

"It was the only open restaurant we could find on a Saturday morning in November. We entered through the boutique. All kinds of unique Alaskan local gifts and trinkets. The next space was a wide open seating area and cafe. We were invited to go upstairs for sit down service. The stairs leading up are beautiful. Their entire space is Seward unique and warm. You must dine upstairs. We sat in a cute little window where we watched many eagles come and go. The best vibes for such a wet, slushy day. Our waitress was the best. She definitely knew the menu and made great suggestions. It was our first time trying Italian Wedding Soup. It had meatballs and pasta and wow, it was everything we needed after a long night of champagne and hot tubing. We also ordered their rice bowl with added steak and their meat eater toast. We washed it all down with a few brews on tap. The best unexpected brunch, thank you Mermaid's Grotto! Can't wait to return to try their King Crab deviled eggs. Mermaid's Grotto is a must when in Seward!"

"Best meal in Alaska. We tried for reservations, fully booked weeks in advance. Went before they opened to stand in line trying to get a bar seat which was first come first serve. Filled up immediately but we snagged a 1 hr later bar reservation. Service was excellent, great mix of tourists and locals. Met some very nice. Fun. Interesting people and had great conversations. We ordered warm rosemary nuts for a starter, followed by grilled oysters, then hubby and I ordered the halibut special with charred broccoli romanesco. For dessert we shared cream cheese ice cream and chocolate creme de pots.... delectable Truly amazing dining experience. Highly recommend this eatery."
