We stayed in Shannon Springs Hotel last Tuesday Dec when our Ryanair flight Shannon Malaga was, delayed overnight due to Storm Barra. At very short notice, we had great dinner, breakfast and accommodation, felt very well looked after in an unexpected situation. Our flight took off the following morning. the room was well done. the bed was not very hard. the room was loud. close to a road and many cars that drive past the whole night so that the window could not remain open. the sound of rooms on the bottom was also quite loud. the breakfast was okay. "My husband and I had had a bad day and had to cancel our original dinner plans in Doolin and had trouble finding a place to eat near the B&B we were staying at in Shannon that had food we both could eat and that was open, so we settled on this place. I wasn 't sure what items on the menu might be vegan, so I asked if they had a vegan menu. The guy taking our order looked very annoyed that I dare ask that and gestured at the menu, saying something like well, there 's salads. Wow. That was the first time ever that I even asked that in a restaurant because I knew that some restaurants actually DO have vegan menus that they 'd be happy to show you and I thought I 'd give that a try. I 'm very shy about making a fuss about anything, so just asking if they had one was a bit out of my comfort zone as it was and of course, I was polite about it. Why was that so annoying to him? So unprofessional. Also, dude...There are other things on the menu that are vegan than just the salads. Sheesh. I just wanted to be sure what all my options were. Other than that rude experience, the ambience of the restaurant was fine (not counting the kids running around the table next to ours, but I can 't really blame the restaurant for that), the food was pretty good, and the two other guys who brought us our food were pleasant to deal with."
