Very intriguing Fortification on the Shannon, definitely worth a visit to see. Was sorry to find it closed for winter but will definitely make a return visit when it reopens. Meanwhile the tourist office provides some good information on the Fort and its barracks! View all feedback.

Outdoor and surrounding area is lovely to stop and enjoy the view.. Unfortunately the tostie was poor and expensive for what you get...slices of bread were as thin as the slice of ham between them... View all feedback.
