Having visited the restaurant on Campo Lane as well I found that the service and attentiveness of the staff at the Kelham Island restaurant to be a bit lacking. The pizza was nice but the waiter had no knowledge of the house wine to even advise it the White was a dry one. The restaurant inside looks tired even though it is not that old and the lighting was too bright to create a nice evening atmosphere. read more.

"Fantastic service from the Devonshire Arms! From booking to eating the whole experience was first class. We booked a table for 10 for my sons 17th birthday. I was sent confirmation and the preorder document within 5 minutes of my call. We added another guest too at no extra trouble. Staff were friendly on arrival and extended impeccable service throughout the night. The food!! Exceptional. So tasty and you could tell the menu was considered and everything had been cooked with care. Steak was cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef! Everything else ordered was fresh and piping hot. Portion sizes gave more than moneys worth, even the kids menu didn’t leave my 9yo niece hungry! We had a range of starters, mains with sides and desserts and everything was outstanding. A bit off the beaten track but definitely a hidden gem that’s worth the drive! To all the staff, thanks for a memorable evening! We will be sure to return!"
