"100% worth the hour and a half wait. Truly worthy of it's Michelin Star . Best Ramen shop for the taste, value, and service. We arrived about 10 minutes before the shop opened and there was already a line out the door. The wait for 20-30 people in front of us was about an hour and a half, but was worth it. There was 12 seats total within the restaurant, 1 table of 4, 1 table for 2, and six bar counter stools. If you can get any of these seats it'll be well worth it. The prices are UNBEATABLE for the quality of the food and service. The Tantanmen was so rich and flavorful, that we drank every last drop. I would recommend getting the large portion with noodles on the side (Tsukemen) if you're extremely hungry. The Char Siu over rice literally melted in your mouth. If your a fan of the soy based ramen, I'd get that but I personally liked the richer broth more. The atomsphere was cozy and upscale, but the prices were bargins and LOW. If you want to try the side items like dumplings and wontons, you must be within the first 10-15 guest served, they were sold out once we entered. This was one of the best food experiences I had in Japan, but by far the best bang for your buck. A must-stop while in Toshima. 11 out of 10."

"We went here to celebrate our friend’s farewell party. The food was good. But the experience was very disappointing. The staff were not friendly. We were even asked to move our cars because they said the parking slots are reserved for the restaurant’s use. But there were no sign that the slots were reserved. And when our check came, the waitresses just stood there while we were still discussing how to settle the bill among ourselves. She could have just left the check with us and come back when we’re ready. We felt rushed. They even asked us to leave when in fact there was still 20 minutes left in our reservation. We did not leave and insisted that we still have 20 minutes left. I find it very rude. The service is not what you’d expect from a Japanese restaurant. This is, by far, the worst dining experience we’ve had in Japan. Not worth your money. I felt giving them 1 star is more than being generous, honestly."

"If you are traveling with carnivores this spot is a good compromise. The vegan ramen is outstanding and the carnivores in my group raves about the ‘normal’ ramen. There was a line but the wait wasn’t long. The staff is friendly and the English menu was helpful."

"Had this almost every second night in my Tokyo trip. Even though there was just the one vegan ramen, I was super happy to eat it over and over again. I love the taste from the noodles and the broth, and the variety of veges. Even after drinking all the soup I didn't feel thirsty at all unlike at other places."
