I cannot fault the quality of the food here, as I have been several times, and it is often busy. I just felt today that there were too much seating to cope with preparing food in the small cooking area. To re-iterate, my fish of the day was delightful, but I had to wait 43 minutes from ordering to my food being served. I will probably avoid Saturdays in future. View all feedback.

Both travelled for two hours to meet up for lunch after checking website for opening times on Facebook and website only to find the restaurant was shut and a very rude man told us we should have phoned as sometimes the chef doesn’t turn up! We were gutted by his don’t give a dam attitude and the fact we had made a very long journey to go we won’t be back, we will tell all our friends not to go and if anyone reading t... My daughter and I had a fantastic lunch at the seafood bar last week. Both of us had the Cornish Crab platter which was out of this world. We also enjoyed a nice chilled glass of Chablis. Atmosphere was brilliant, great service too. Will be returning with friends soon.
I ate at the seafood bar yesterday amazing meal. Cornish Crab Bisque with scallops then fabulous fish platter. Great service, really interesting place, excellent wine list.
I have visited this restaurant several times for lunch over the past 3 years because we enjoy fish and seafood, as well as a glass of fine wine! I cannot find any faults with the menu options, food presentation, cooking, customer service, or value for money. It is much better than a chain restaurant in the town center, offering a relaxed, informal, fast, friendly, and fun dining experience. The young staff members are fantastic and really make the place special.
I highly recommend this seafood bar for lovers of fish! Located in Shrewsbury Market Hall, the fish is fresh from the fishmongers across the aisle. Everything was fresh, delicious, and nothing was a problem. The only issue we could see was that if it gets busy, it's best to book a table as it's too good to miss! The seabass with its crispy skin and juicy flesh was amazing. I would definitely eat it again soon. Thank you for a great experience.
At the beginning of the day, the restaurant stall is adorned with a stunning variety of top-quality fish. The owner is very knowledgeable about the fish, often knowing even the name of the boat they were caught from.
