this is a place I recommend. such helpful friendly staff provide great food. we had an overnight as in devon for a funeral and they could not do enough to make our time smooth and relax. I hope to be back in devon and would definitely stay here. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about The Blue Ball Inn:
Overall we had a lovely meal. Our only complaint was that the steak and ale pie contained only 2 very small chucks of steak! It tasted delicious but paying £15.50 for delicious pastry and gravy is not ideal. Service was great. All waiting staff were attentive and service was good. View all feedback.

"We stopped here on spec for a lunch while we were in Sidmouth. And we're pleased that we did. Lovely little cafe and busy too! The staff were friendly and attentive and the food delivered. I had the jacket potato with mushrooms+stilton, and there were plenty of both plus a dressed salad, and coleslaw. Very reasonably priced, too. Free wifi available too, which was a bonus as Sidmouth is dire for mobile networks. Parking: This cafe has no parking. You'll need to find somewhere on street or in one of Sidmouth's pay+display car parks. Wheelchair accessibility: Tables in the street facing part of the cafe would be suitable for a wheelchair. I think that you'd struggle to get a wheelchair down to the courtyard through the cafe itself. Perhaps there is another route into the courtyard."

We (family of 15 plus dog) called yesterday morning at the end of our vacation in devon before all of our separated go away. the personal could not have been more helpful and accommodation for us. unintrusive music and song from a gent playing a uke made our very unhurried visit a complete joy. many thanks."

"Very interesting Palace, we decided a history lesson was part of the fun today. Instead I found it to be just another expensive tour of an old art gallery. The headphone tour was very helpful in briefly explaining the public story behind the setting being viewed. More fascinating to me was the gardens and maze. It is literally an all day affair, especially on a sunny day. It's a shame you can't get a golf cart to spin around the garden. Needless to say it was a good day out with fascinating old stuff to look at and ponder life in those days. Mine certainly wouldn't have been lived here. Ta Ra Foodguy-martin, CA"
