We selected Dickens Public house based on Reviews (thanks google community) nice relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. We opted for for the Dickens Burger with Cheese. I had mine with the soup of the day which was Beef Barley and excellent. My wife had hers with Salad and the lovely house balsamic dressing. What Marguerite Johnson doesn't like about Dickens Public House:
Was seated promptly, my order was taken, then quickly forgotten. I ordered the fish and chips, it arrived warm and undercooked. My waitress never came by to see if all was well, and her coworker; black hair, dress, stockings, shoes, waswearing so much perfume that it killed the aroma of food and desire to linger over a pint of ale. Epic proportions. Pints, wings, and calamari were all excellent. Value for what you get is amazing.
It's a nice pub to go for a bite to eat before heading to yhe Airport. The staff is nice. Food is good and reasonable.
