I must be one of the last to try Hawker Chan. For years, Hawker Chan served his soya sauce chicken rice and noodles at the Chinatown Hawker Centre, enjoying long queues. It is only more recently he expanded into a nice air conditioned at the corner of Smith and Eu Tong Sen Street. As a family, we ordered a range of dishes. They were all good. I visited and ate at Hawker Chan knowing that it no longer had a Michelin one-star. The food was ok and it was on my list of places to visit. I had two dishes. One chicken the other pork belly. The chicken I would give 4 stars and the pork belly 3. The pork belly was not cooked properly and the texture was strange.
