What jwlus likes about Vieux Valais:
Really a fine place to eat. Nice staff and reception, excellent food and lovely decor. Highly recommended for meat lovers as well as tourists to get a taste of local food. Visited twice and both times my meat was excellent. Lovely wines as well. A little off the beaten path, but very worth your effort read more.

In nice weather you can even be served in the outdoor area, and there is no-charge WLAN. The premises on site are accessible, and therefore no problem for visitors with wheelchairs or physical disabilities.

We were very excited to dine at the restaurant after a days hike in the nearby mountains. Upon arrival we were not greeted but confronted by an extremely unpleasant staff member who despite the restaurant being completely empty with only one reservation note visible informed us that they cannot serve us as they are fully booked.
