"A rare gem of a traditional cafe. Home style freshly cooked food. Lovely owner, passionate about her food and customer service. Excellent value for great food. Visited for the first time yesterday, had the best BLT ever! Freshly cooked warm bacon instead of the all to familiar cold hard stuff sold elsewhere, delicious! Returned this morning for a full English breakfast. Loved it, will keep me full all day! Highly recommended for those appreciating traditional cafes, nothing pretentious, just really nice food."

"We visited the house of the coffee for a cup of coffee and cake and was not disappointed. cake was very good size for the price and the vanilla latte was delicious. service was fast and friendly. beautiful afternoon after a walk around the local environment. will definitely return at our next visit."

"My mum has been very ill and unable to eat a normal diet, Wendy went above and beyond to make sure mum had food she could eat. Having the table at the bottom also made mum feel safe. We love this restaurant, the food is always delicious and fresh. I tried the sweet potato curry which was very tasty. So glad we live in the village and get to eat here often."

"We spotted this cafe from the bus, and my 8yo son was very keen to visit, as it combined several of his favourite interests ninjas, games, and food.We had time to kill before our train so we popped in.Food was delicious, cheap, and served quickly. Cafe was friendly, relaxed and welcoming. Good selection of board games to play while you are there, or to buy.My son said, “We should come here again!” Which is high praise indeed."

"Very clean. Sophistically decorated, with decadent and lush furnishings. Good selection of wines, beer, spirits etc. Plenty of staff behind the bar serving. The artist singing was brilliant and had folk up and dancing. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5"

"Absolutely fantastic service and eating was sensational. King prawns, garlic mushrooms and rib-eye steak are dying. I can't thank the staff enough to help me to lift the little things for my partner on the 25th birthday. we'll be back someday. I am sending my compliments to the chef!"

"Here for break and saw that there was a quiz on a Wednesday .. so planned to have some food there early evening and then stay for the quiz ... got there and a sign on door .. closed until 4th October gutted"
