"We went through and went to eat there because of the reviews. the pancake with cassler and cheese looked super good and was very delicious. as a daily meal there was a sparing with carving, the teller then ratzeputz empty. the spatula still a little bit bit bit, the carving fryed, the sauce hollandaise made itself. good solid craft"

"Familientreffen im kleinen Kreis mit Oma und Enkeln: Wir gehen seit Jahren in dieses urige Gasthaus, in dem auf schöne Weise die Zeit stehen geblieben zu sein scheint. Man hat den Eindruck, als käme gleich die nächste Postkutsche angebraust. Fachwerk, alte Gemälde und Kerzen schaffen eine ruhige und urige Atmosphäre. Die Speisekarte bietet deutsche und schweizerische Gerichte aus allen Regionen. In warmen Jahreszeiten ist besonders der Garten unter den Kastanien gemütlich. Dann gibt es auch den beliebten Schweizer Wurstsalat. Die Kinder (10 und 14) teilten sich ein Jägerschnitzel mit Champignonrahmsoße und Pommes Frittes und waren begeistert. Die Portion war so groß, dass beide satt wurden. Das kommt selten vor. Ich aß einen großen Salat mit Schweinefiletstreifen. Sehr frisch und üppig! Der Teller mit Schäuferle, Chilisauerkraut und Dunkelbiersoße war großartig. Wir wurden alle mehr als satt, da die Portionen sehr groß sind.Ganz besonders waren wir über die hilfsbereiten und liebenswürdigen Kellnerinnen erfreut.Ein Tipp für weizenliebhabende (Paulaner) Damen: Es ist eines der wenigen Gasthäuser in Braunschweig, das 0,3-Gläser anbietet, also nicht zu wenig und auch nciht ein zu großes Glas."
