I went with a large party for lunch on Saturday. We all had lovely meals and the menu had plenty of choice. Portions were very generous and the staff were very friendly. We all had our meals together, which, when there's a lot of you, isn't always the case in other places. The pub is very charming and quaint and in a beautiful position next to the canal. It's a great place for families. We will definitely be going ba... View all feedback.
What Ajb1207 doesn't like about The Black Boy:
When I entered the restaurant, it was quite busy and had a nostalgic feel reminiscent of the 1970s. The staff were friendly and the menu had a wide variety of options. I decided to order half ribs and half chicken, but unfortunately the chicken was very dry. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I am unsure if I would return. View all feedback.
The black boy is an incredibly old pub and they can feel the story of the moment in which they enter, I also want to say it has a great choice of beer.
Two stars that you say?! Why two stars? good, you will forgive for cheap meals and the other for the big beer garden. otherwise I wouldn't go here.
The black boy is steep in so much history. it was built in 1793 and has seen two world wars. they will experience this immediately when.
Beautiful channel side pub with beautiful large garden and large menu! if the weather is beautiful, there is nowhere better!
A little expensive. but eating is reliable good, with a huge garden that returns to the canal. they even have a place outside to buy drinks!
