"There were just a handful of diners for our lunch time meal at the Clockspire which has a large open dining room. The cavernous space was cold and lacked atmosphere, exacerbated by so few fellow travellers. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. The kitchen offers fine dining and yet most of our dishes were over seasoned with salt very prominent. Portions were tiny and relatively expensive, as were wines. Overall the restaurant fails to offer value for money, and we are unlikely to return in the near future. "I went to vinos I june and had a lovely ploughman's lunch, I took my daughter and her family tonight and although the hosts were lovely, friendly and welcoming the meal was disappointing, we had a sharing ploughman's for 3 for £30. It consisted of half a scotch egg, one and half slices of ham, 1 mini pork pie, 2 pieces of bread(for 3 people), small piece of cheddar cheese and blue cheese and far too many crackers and salad which to my mind was to fill the board that the ploughman's came on. Again, the hosts were lovely it was just a shame we all left hungry!"

"We received a friendly and polite welcome. It was so hot I was very glad that I had chosen to have dinner at Castello. They have a large area outside with well spaced tables with sun shade umbrellas. Sitting there we thought we really were in Italy. The menu offered a very good choice of Italian/Mediterranean dishes. The fish and salads we had were really memorable!!"

"Food was bad, most of the starter dishes pre cooked and appear at your table in 2-3 minutes. Lamb was terrible, wine list is pretty bad. Tiramisu was made by somebody who never ate a tiramisu before. No idea why this place has good ratings. Just avoid. We spent couple of hundred pounds for dinner and the experience was like visiting a burger stand at the mall."

"Absolutely disgusted in the Manager of this restaurant. Short, dark haired lady who refused to give us her name. She was on duty 5pm on 11 November. Despite us having an online confirmation email for a 5.30pm booking for my son’s birthday celebration, I was informed very rudely that our booking had been for 11am that morning and because we did not show, our credit card had been charged. How absolutely disgusting being treated by an employee of an establishment meant to be making money for the owner. Clearly the online system was glitching but even with a confirmation email in hand, we were not offered an apology, let alone a complimentary drink or being offered another table at a later time."
