Spotted this place while riding into town from the trail. The perfect lunch of soup, quiche and salad after riding from Victoria. The lady who served me was filling in for the owner but was very attentive. Finished it off with a nice piece of pie and coffee. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jenny's Country Pantry and Tea Shoppe:
After reading some good reviews for Jenny's, we decided to go for coffee and something fresh for breakfast, but it appeared that nothing was fresh! When the lady behind the counter suggested zapping the frozen muffins that really told us a lot and was disappointing to say the least. The food we did have did not taste fresh at all.I'm not a fan of negative reviews, but it was a bad experience! I went here the other day after Beast of the EastI was tired and hungry to say the least.

This is someone who believes in using quality ingredients-the best sausage rolls I've had and the Melton Mowbrey Pie is also excellent. Keep up the great products!
We went out for a light lunch to Jenny's after reading reviews in EAT magazine. What a monumental disappointment, we would have been better off at home. Firstly, the staff on duty physically grabbed me as I walked by the door after my companion was seated inside. This constitutes assault, I do believe. I did go inside as my companion was already seated, and we ordered our meal from the same server who grabbed me earlier. While the offerings did appear appealing in the case. Quiche, soup sandwiches, they were all cold and waiting to be rewarmed. We later discovered that our meals were to be reheated in a panini press, which might have been fine since I had ordered a panini, But, my companion ordered a quiche and soup, (Quiche was also reheated in the panini press) Everything we ordered arrived Flattened and Stone cold.! The food May have been passable, had it been fresh and actually Warm, but this was not the case. We also ordered coffee (stewed and grainy) and pie, also flattened, and stone cold. We will not be returning to Jenny's nor can we recommend it to anyone else. Re: accessibility, Way too much furniture in the venue to get into the restaurant, and the washrooms are up a flight of stairs. Overall, one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. I wonder if Jenny knows what a Toaster Oven is? She certainly needs one! They also need staff that know about personal boundaries, as the same staff that grabbed me chattered incessantly throughout our meal with a blow by blow narrative about preparing our meal. What should have been a quick lunch, turned into an interminable diatribe on how to reheat a meal.
We stopped into Jenny's this afternoon. She made all of us very welcome; including our daughters (aged 2
