"Great little bakery!. I've been going to this bakery for the better part of 25 years, back when they were called Scandia Bakery. The owners have changed, but thankfully some of the classic recipes haven't! Try the strudel! I think it's the best in town. Their bread has gotten really good too (used to be so-so, like, 10 years ago). And don't even get me started on the amazing sausage rolls!"

"Ordered a takoyaki for to go. On the menu it says 5 pieces, but I only got 4. They told me the menu is wrong. Then really recommend to change the menu or remind the costumers before they order, not after they found out and asked"

"This coffee house is a tiny haven in Colwood. Another hidden gem in West Shore. <br/>I'm so glad I found it!<br/>You wouldn't even know Pilgrim is here, hidden away in a medical building across from Colwood Corners strip mall. <br/>An oasis from the hustle and bustle and cars and concrete of West Shore. <br/>Lots of character. You'd think we were on Saltspring or in Fernwood...<br/>They serve Drumroaster Coffee, local baked goods and made-to-order sandwiches. Lots of people coming and going, from uni students to hikers on their way to the west coast. Many just chilling at a table enjoying a mug of coffee and treat. The patio space in summer is nice and zen. <br/>A great local spot to visit while in Colwood. <br/>When I stopped by, musician Jesse Roper was hanging out chatting with locals, so yes you know it's a cool place... :"

"This is the second time that I have enjoyed Three Gringos Mexican Grill and both times it has been a great experience. I’ve ordered the veggie burrito bowl with avocado and hot sauce on the side. The serving is generous and includes rice, black beans, cheese, sautéed red peppers and mushrooms, corn, tomatoes, cilantro, green onion, lettuce, sour cream, and chipotle. Next time I’ll try the fish tacos as that is also one of my favourites. The vibe is a funky Mexican café, the staff are friendly and efficient, and the prices are great value for the money. They do a lot of take out, but I always dine in. My only very minor quibble is that I appreciate it when the staff check with you a couple of minutes after they serve to see if everything is all right or if you need anything else. Even around 3:45 when I arrived, they were very busy and it kept up, despite being early for any dinner traffic. For this reason I forgive them for not checking up on me. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants great Mexican food in a relaxed atmosphere. I will be back the next time I’m in the area."

"The food at the 17 Mile Pub is very good! They have this tiny little kitchen and they always manage to crack out hot delicious food. If there is any problem with your order they will make it right! Sometimes it takes a little longer during peak hours and it is well worth the wait! My favorite is the Baron, a sliced beef sandwich with a tasty beef dip! I also love rib night! Yummy! I visited the 4 Mile and 6 Mile Pubs a couple of times (was at the 6 Mile last night, had the worst food) and the food pales in comparison to 17 Mile."

"We celebrated my birthday with Original Pho Eatery, and ordered pho and vermicelli. The soup was really good and the portion was large. I love the decor of the restaurant, nice place to spend time with friends."
