"This gorgeous local restaurant in the small town of Radicofani has garden seating in the shade of huge trees with an outlook across the mountain. The service was excellent and the owner’s knowledge of gluten free was very good. An unusual dish of tempura pecorino wrapped in prosciutto was excellent (not gluten free) and the simple buffalo mozzarella and tomato was very good and better than most. The slow cooked beef with carrots was tender and tasty. The mixed grill was a huge portion; sadly the beef was a little over cooked, but otherwise another good dish. This restaurant is a wonderful respite from the heat of the day. And the town of Radicofani is more beautiful (and much quieter) than many of the more popular tourist stops. The view from the Fort is also worth the climb."
