"It's a bit out of the way but it was definitely worth the detour. We had never been to Sorel before but we had this restaurant on our 'bucket list' -- and we are definitely going back. The current menu was themed with asparagus in several dishes -- we both tried the appetizer with asparagus sesame toast topped by a poached egg and it was simply fantastic. There were a few other appetizers options that looked great too but we don't regret both taking the same thing :)There's a lot of options for single table d'hote, and even a nice set of options for a double table d'hote at 85$ for 2 including wine (and some option for extras for a different bottle of wine or meat, both at 10$).We took the bison tartar and it was very good, with a nice presentation. I took the penne mascapone and it was very good -- in a big plate that i couldn't finish.Service was great, the ambiance as well, and we were able to take our time while having dinner over 3 hours. Not a place where you are rushed, which is very nice.I didn't find it pricey for the food quality, presentation, options, and service -- compared to similar restaurants that is."

"The greeting was ok, we ordered a beer it came fast, but we waited over 40 minutes to order our food. in our waiting time a few sat next to us they had time to order, receive and ate their food before the waiter came back to us. there is a sharing on the table that asks the customers to be comprehensive because they are low staff, but in my opinion, if they do not handle the flow of customers, perhaps the lowering of seat capacity would be a better option."

"Hits the spot. Clean greasy spoon, if you will. I had tasty hot-dogs and top notch fries. Crispy and gooey in all the right places. The place had a relaxed atmosphere and was clearly well run. If you're in the market for diner food, this is the place to go."

"The ice cream is good but the little candies too hard, they should be kept in a closed dish, they were old and not very good.I miss the real cheese counter of a few years ago. It's not typical anymore, I don't know why they sell cheese, in my eyes it's really just a dairy bar."
