So far, the average rating is just 2.3, so one has to assume that the Hotel Sorrento Restaurant is not among the best rated restaurants of its current guests.

Venue is nice but service and food are really disappointing (and IT is well overpriced) Plates look great, colorful and use a lot of fresh herbsbut
Good decent pub food. Eye wateringly expensive as is everything else down here. Soooo much better than the Portsea Hotel

"Best steak I have ever had..melted in my mouth and no waste. My partner had fish pie which was equally amazing. Staff were extremely attentive and explained the menu thoroughly. Lots of their produce grown in their backyard. Would definitely go back. Thanks for a great night."

"Great food, amazing service and beautiful atmosphere. Our kids were looked after straight away and food came out very fast. I don't think you could make a wrong choice when ordering; everything looked amazing. I was very impressed with the attention by the service staff. The kitchen didn't muck about either! They were very fast! Everything was served quickly and all dishes were delicious. I was very happy with my dining experience. I loved it!"

"Really tough decision to edit my review of this place. Covid has been really hard for a lot of businesses down here. But menu at degustation only is very strange. Staff not into it anymore. Needs time to recoup. Really hope they can improve, but $200 for really average service I really think you’ll be disappointed. Food photos show there still some quality."

"The food was SUPER DELISH! I wanted an extra stomach to fit more in. The cafe is super spacious, has wifi and serves wine. I recommend the sweet potato fries with anything you order. There is meat on the menu but not much and most things can be made vegan."

"Visited tonight for our anniversary dinner 2 adults and 3 kids. The service was faultless our waiter went through the specials of the day and advised of the children’s options straight up. We ordered our meal and asked for his wine recommendation he recommended a delicious Italian wine which happened to be the cheapest by the bottle on the menu. Complimentary bread warm out of the oven was a nice touch. Our entrees (the specials of the day) of stuffed zucchini flowers and octopus were delicious. The kids pasta (penne) carbonara and beef cheek were flavoursome and generous portions at only $12 each. The main pastas parpadelle was silky, fresh and moreish, the gnocchi was light, fluffy and delicious, and the squid ink lasagne was melt in the mouth every mouthful was heavenly! Unfortunately we didn’t stay for dessert. We will definitely return."
