Is a nice place to unwind thou some of the food is little bit expensive. But ambiance wise is good...

"Sunset Beach House is located on the small island of Calintaan Sorsogon on the southern tip of Luzon in the San Bernardino Strait between Luzon and Samar. There are only two villages on the island: Calintaan and Calayuan which are completely free of traffic. Mode of Transportare boats. By boat you can reach the two villages of Matnog in 30-40 minutes. Mike will be glad to pick you up with his boat in Matnog or you may take the Public Boat .The beach house is located right on the coast, has two very nice rooms upstairs with stunning view of the sea, the mainland and the island of Masbate. Fantastic sunsets. Thanks to the currents in the San Bernardino Strait, the water is always crystal clear and of best quality.Yolly, the wife of Mike is responsible the best food. Not to forget Mikes best stocked bar on the island. On the south coast of the island you will find one of the finest beaches in thee Philippines. On weekends and holidays the beach is frequented by local visitors. But during the rest of the week you have the beach practically for yourself alone. The beach is accessible by boat or on foot. The village children love to be your tourist guides. It is recommended to circle the island by boat. You will discover interesting caves, small hidden beaches on the south coast, or fish farming on the neighboring island of Juag. Also worthwile is a detour to the island of Tikling.Explore the peaceful life in the two typical filipino fishing villages.Matnog can be reached from Legazpi by bus and jeepneys. There are several daily ferries from Matnog to Allen or San Isidro on Samar. We really enjoyed to stay with Yolly and Mike."

"This is a simple Thai restaurant: nothing fancy, nothing great. What I like about it is that they offer a wide range of selections budget-wise. For those on a budget, they have rice toppings. For those with extra spending money, they have the popular Thai dishes that cost slightly higher. The taste is good and they hold back a bit of the hot spices so it works for us. Service is fast. The space is small but the interior is acceptable - glad to note that there's none of those wood carvings that you see in the Thai temples. Another comment is that you can see the inside of the kitchen area where they stock up the supplies and everything else (similar to a roadside canteen) which is somewhat not suited for a mall restaurant. We found the lemongrass in the ice tea too overpowering. The spring rolls are good."
