Very poor quality of fish and chips were very black and tasteless. Staff rude and not very happy looking. Would not recommend this chippy.

Fish and chips has to be the Marine... food this time however... fish was a wee bit over fried... extremely crispy but just as tasty

Passing through and picked up a fish supper around half 4 on a Saturday afternoon to take down to the harbour to eat. It really was awful, very greasy. An oily...

"Wildings restaurant is excellent food for excellent money. The staff are very attentive. It's a family run business that has catered for the local area and beyond for years. Lovely decor in a very small sea side town in south Ayrshire Scotland. Must be one of the best."

"For such a beautiful spot this was extremely disappointing. I went here for a solo cycle ride and was stunned by the beauty of this location. The cafe itself looks exactly like you would expect to find at a place like this, almost out of time. Very quaint. I couldn’t see a menu outside listing a menu and prices, there may be one but I didn’t see it. As I had my own sandwiches I went in for a cappuccino to take out. I had expected, perhaps foolishly that a place like this would have friendly and chatty staff. Keen to talk to visitors. Boy was I wrong!! Didn’t get a “Hello” just asked what I wanted. The young lady who served me, I term I mean loosely. Was sullen and dour, I felt like my presence or indeed my small order was an irritant. The cappuccino itself although very nice, was tiny and the cup was certainly not filled to the top, I didn’t look inside but I would estimate it was half full, if that. For such a gorgeous location, a great disappointment. I would visit the location again but would avoid this cafe. Such a shame."

"Visited the Kirkmichael Arms for a Hogmanay family meal and oh am I glad we did! The restaurant itself is lovely and has a real Scottish homely feel, the staff are all friendly and happy to help and the food absolutely to die for! Truly one of the best meals I have ever had. Will definitely be returning to the area for the sole purpose of visiting the Kirkmichael Arms and you should do the same! I promise you wont regret it."

"If your in girvan, go and try these guys they do a range if different foods from around the world, and always have a special on. They work so hard just the two of them from early until really late,they welcome you in and are very attentive, 20 mins before closing time the chef welcomed 2 guys in with open arms, with no thought to he would defo be shutting late which I thought was amazing. He comes out personally to make sure your meal is enjoyable and what you expect. We left full it's not expensive either your spend more at the chippy. A wide selection of home baked cakes and cookies unfortunately I was too podged for a nything else had to undo my Jean's to walk home. Support these little businesses if your about rather than the big ones as the service attention to detail and good food will outweigh those everytime."
