"I spent 3 days in Ayr visiting a friend and she raved about this restaurant so we finally got around to going there on my last evening before moving on as they'd been closed for a couple of days and then were fully booked when we first tried to get in. We got a table around 8pm and it was still packed with people then it looks like the go to spot in Ayr for grub and now I know why; food was super tasty and I'd go as far to say it was one of the nicest meals I had during my 10 days or so travelling throughout Scotland. Restaurant was really busy but the staff were really attentive and made sure everyone was happy with everything. Good food for good prices, nice clean and tidy building. Highly recommended will visit again when next in the area."

"So disappointed they had to close recently as the safety measures were at such a high standard and the staff are always amazing. Been getting the chocolate ice cream for years and it just gets better and better! My husband wanted the lotus flavour but they ran out and the boy said he would make him a lotus Sunday with lotus sauce and bits such great service and my husband said it was amazing! Hope they open back up soon!"

"Have drove passed this for years and was always drawn to it. Decided to book for anniversary dinner advised when booked it was a special anniversary. On entering approached reception spoke to lady who gave the impression she would rather be anywhere else but there . Went into dining room gave name to young man behind bar who didn’t show us to our table but stated pointing to table in corner that’s yours ! Behind a group of 10 men . Sorry but 1st impressions really count during our time little to no interaction with staff except for the girl who served our mains. Waited long periods to get menu when 1st arrived and for dessert. Food itself was nice but overall experience let down by lack of welcome and poor service ."
