Great old style pub with absolutely the best menu around. Good old fashioned food well cooked. Great ambience even when busy. Would highly recommend a visit.

"This was in times past a little gem in Ayr a perfect place for that romantic night where you could have a beautiful night but sadly our latest experience told a very different story, A table of four sitting right next to us shouted, screamed and used very foul language all night. When they left several tables were glad to see the back of them. I mentioned to the manager that I was disappointed they didn't have a word asking them to keep it down. The manager said they didn't hear anything which I don't believe as they place really isn't that big. It ruined out night and we regret going which should not be how you should feel when going out. Its really disappointing and we would think twice about going back if this is the type of customers they want to attract"

"Kilmarnock is famous for Johnny Walker Whisky and Killie Pies. To this short but splendid list, we should add Forum Ice-cream! Not content with the best vanilla flavour in the county, it now supplies a large range of flavours, each one a delight. Add to this speedy, pleasant service at a fair price and you will understand why we buy no other ice-cream. Thank you Varani family"

"I genuinely think that Vitos has to be the best takeaway I’ve ever ordered from. Fresh pizzas. Prawn tempura was incredible. Lovely people there too."

"Fantastic take away sandwiches. Really good service and quick too. It's also cheaper than coffee shop chains and Gregg's and much nicer. Highly recommended"

"Beautiful room! Great friendly waiters and staff, the food was all perfectly cooked and well presented. The restaurant lost a star as the pan seared prawns says it comes in garlic and coriander butter, with mango salad, in the images you’ll see it’s smothered in a sweet chilli dip no sign of coriander butter or garlic. SADLY I sent it back basically full and still got charged for it. As well as the goats cheese I ordered as replacement. My husband wouldn’t let me say anything and still tipped generously as the rest of the food was great and waiter very charismatic, funny and helpful. The other blunder was, we ordered a bottle of still water when first sat down, by the time our mains came it was still not with us…. So we cancelled it and asked for tea, that also didn’t come but we told another waiter and he immediately knew the tea we asked for was not available and he was kind enough to bring us something off menu. The prawn cocktail is as normal as you’d expect it but the haggis starter, goats cheese starter, cod and lamb rump were all amazing! Not to mention, as the rest of the reviews, the best baked Alaska. Despite the big ups and my my dislike for paying for things I don’t eat, food and atmosphere was good enough to still come back…."
