Visited for Mother's day lunch. My first visit. Was impressed by the venue. The food was excellent and hot. Our table had 1 fishpie,2 gammon and 2 roast chicken. The sweets we had were very tasty. I like the way they use so many local suppliers. The staff were young but superb. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My only criticism were the barking dogs we had to endure. The food and atmosphere were surprisingly mediocre for a setting as magnificent as Dartington. It’s difficult to rate the service. Two of the three staff members we met were friendly and conscientious.I’d give them 5 stars. Our principle server however,was on the arrogant side. In spite of that, I decided to leave a good tip.
