"Me and my niece had gone up to get our usual curry’s that we normally had on Sunday 8th. Now I’m terminally I’ll having brain cancer so my memory isn’t great and I can never remember what the curry is I order now I knew it has king prawns in and has a red sauce, after a little while trying to explain to the man behind the counter he said he reckons it is probably king prawn Massala which again as I can’t remember and normally go with what they think it is and I’ve enjoyed it every time I’ve had it. Well let’s put it this way it wasn’t my usual one I normally enjoy, the tails were still on which I wasn’t warned about the heat was fine as I don’t like my curry too hot as it takes away the flavour of the curry I find. As soon as I finished I felt sick and my stomach was doing somersaults I hate complaining but in my head I feel that if I wasn’t to say anything someone else might go through the same and I’m still feeling yucky and have no energy at all. I hope this helps someone who’s wanting to eat from here.I won’t be recommending them as I live above the old smithy and always send customers up there for a great curry"

"Riverford has been on my list for many years. We had a weeks holiday in South Devon and had our last lunch there. Five plus a baby. It was worth the long wait. Great staff, lovely wholesome, flavourful food and good drinks list. The whole family thought it was excellent value as well."

"Awful chicken it was like the cheapest most awful chicken. When you have tikka usually the chicken is lovely but it was almost like an awful texture. Certainly wont bother again"

"Booked a table on Wednesday 8th November for 2 people, booking was accepted and confirmed. Member of staff called me on Friday 10th November to ask if we wanted to cancel booking as they had a table of 15 and a table of 20 booked and as our booking was only for 2 we would be served after the larger bookings and told we would have to wait a long time for our food. We cancelled, as a booking for 2 is obviously not important to the railway inn management team, having been there several times with several friends and live local I will no longer give them my custom, so I hope the larger bookings will be returning customers as I and my friends will not. Very poor customer service!!!"

"Ordered food on Saturday 3rd at 6.30 ,via online eta 8pm no sign at 8.30pm called to enquire,answered the phone then cut me off. Recieved food at 8.50 nearly two and half hrs,shocking service,if you can’t fulfill delivery then don’t take the order or worse my money."

"A long overdue update on this restaurant and its a zero hygiene rating. What ever caused the horrendous rating was very quickly attended to and it was fully operational again very soon. We have used its home delivery service several times since and everything was...of good quality and most tasty. I fully recommend it once again. Should have written this long ago."

"We had a takeaway. It was very tasty. We picked from the ‘specials’ and we’re not disappointed. The Bindi Bharjee was dry and full of flavour. They only take cash but the coop has a cash machine in it. If you like a curry, I...can recommend this restaurant."
