Set back a little from the sands, and serving excellent and freshly-prepared street food from a sufficiently varied menu, the Gastrobus hits all the right spots. One van serves ices and the like, the other mains ; the prices are very reasonable for the location and the quality. (They also get it right when you ask for a variation, like no cheese ! What Helen W doesn't like about Gastrobus:
£3.70 for a surprisingly small scoop of ice-cream, which was grainy and not at all worth the money. I went for the lemon cheesecake flavour, which was supposed to be award-winning, but was actually pretty unpleasant. The girl serving was friendly at least. read more.
