Tables well spaced to satisfy socialdistancing advice. Friendly staff. Prices reasonable. Sunday roast lunch was quite acceptable but Yorkshire puddings were not great. Very good espresso coffee. View all feedback.
What taggie68 doesn't like about Ring O' Bells:
We choose to eat here having read the reasonably favourable reviews. The food appeared quite pricey £14 for lasagne or cottage pie, but if it was delicious and home made, and out of season, possibly understandable. In reality the food served was basically shop bought... View all feedback.
Avoid at all costs!!! Stayed for a night with work, wish I hadn’t. Greeted at 4:30pm by a drunk couple on the outside benches singing along to a Bluetooth speaker. (This later turned out to be the landlady) Bar staff couldn’t be less interested in showing us to our rooms. Also seemed an inconvenience us being there. I stay away regularly for work and I can honestly say this was the worst room I have ever stayed in. Stunk of damp, PVC decking ceiling (I assume to hide damp) carpet coming up around all edges, handles falling off cupboards, towels like sandpaper, silicone hanging off entry step to shower, black grout which used to be black. Revolting.
We were on holiday and staying in Kingsbridge. Looking for somewhere to eat, four of us and two dogs went to the Ring of Bells. A nice local pub with good friendly service, tasty food and excellent prices (and Linda giving the dogs some treats and water) meant that we went back twice more. Of course, we recommend that you go.

I’m a widower with my golden retriever. We travel everywhere together. We we staying just up the road. First night was interesting, lots of characters!! Spoke to Nigel a regular- friendly from Coventry originally- local enough to me. Food was good, usual pub food and a great selection. I had a breakfast the next morning, 5 rashers of thick cut back bacon, 2 sausages, beans and a slice of toast, washed down with a pot of tea and all for less than a tenna
... you'd be well advised to stop here for food and drink very good food at excellent prices, no fear of being ripped off! We found this pub by accident after doing a walk from Kingsbridge, which isn't far away. Husband had ham, egg and chips delicious home cooked ham, 2 eggs and crispy chips. I had a ham and cheese ploughman's, which was really nice. Generous portions and great value
