Amazing atmosphere, relaxed vibe, fantastic food and excellent service. We stumbled across this place and managed to find the last seats in the end of a bench. We had a bottle of house white, a Caesar salad and a ploughman’s board. The food was excellent as was the wine! Interesting approach to catering and service. Small cafe rules restricting seating for lunchtime repast , so much so that after ordering a light lunch and hot drink was told that I needed to exceed my order to be seated at one of the tables? Announcing immediately afterwards it would be allowed this time by a very curt waitress. My wife and I have been using this cafe for 5 years but apparently rules now have changed... Intense, stary owner spreads a dark energy through a small space. Small spaces serves overpriced, average food very slowly.
What a lovely afternoon cream tea. Friendly staff that even let me have mine with cream, jam AND butter.
