Cornwood Inn, now 100% community-owned, was saved in 2020 and given new life. In September 2019, a group of community volunteers called Cornwood Inn Action Group purchased the pub from a major Pubco with short-term loans. To ensure the pub's future, funding was raised by converting it into a community benefit society and selling community shares. The share offer, featured in the Telegraph and on the BBC, was a success, attracting local investors and even some from abroad. The pub has undergone a much-needed facelift and is now managed by Tina Forbes and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Cornwood Inn is an independent freehouse where we stock what our guests desire - putting people before profits as a community benefit society.
