"Great food, but fell into this black hole of service. The waitress took so long to get our order and never checked us. The menu items ran out, not the server's fault, but she kept asking for refills, and she didn't even consider whether we wanted a dessert."

"Prior to covid this was my go to Indian restaurant. We ate their several times a month. We recently visited for dine in and had a very poor experience. Both the service and the food were extremely poor. Let 's start with the service. The man behind the counter seated us immediately. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Unfortunately this man also takes the phone orders, handles the take out and acts as the waiter. It 's just too much for 1 person and detracted from his ability to serve the tables. It took way too long for us to place our orders, to refresh our drinks never did happen) or to serve our food. Now on to the food. Every Indian restaurant I have ever eaten in serves Papadam with several condiments red onion, Mint etc). Not here. They said they did not have papadam. We moved on to placing our orders. I ordered chicken Vindaloo very spicy. What I received did not look or taste like vindaloo but rather like chicken with Ketchup. I sincerely hope this was a one off problem with them restarting after reopening. They need to restaff and rehire a true chief. I 'll wait a few months and retry. If the issues have been resolved I 'll update this review."

"I moved to RI couple years ago to attend URI. This restaurant used to be a favorite spot for me and my wife. We really liked their fish and chips. However, since last couple months our experience with their service has been terrible. The conduct oftheir waitresses (not all though) and especially the bartender has been extremely disappointing. I really want to narrate ourlatest experience that happened on August 8th, 2022 around 7:00PM which forced us to write this review. We usually prefer totake out the food, however, they refuse to take order over the phone and rather asked us to come to the restaurant and placeorder in-person. When we reached, the waitress refused to take our order for take-out and asked us to talk to the bartender.Interestingly. the bartender also refused to take our order (all the while being very uncourteous) stating that she wont placethe order until we buy drinks. We being Muslims who do not drink, had to request her to take our order without drinks. Upon ourinsistence she agreed and asked us to wait for 25 mins. We waited outside, and then after 25 mins when we went in, we found outshe never inserted our order in the system. She never apologized and showed no remorse. We felt disrespected. Although we gotour food eventually (after 50 mins of wait), but due to the poor service, lack of courtesy and no concern towards the customers,we are never going there again. The food is great, but not the staff and their service!!"
