While hiking along the Cumbria Coastal path, I came across this charming bakery and cafe. I discovered it while planning my walk and was impressed by the beautiful website detailing the history of the establishment. It's worth noting that they close at 2pm. They offer a wonderful selection of breads, pastries, and cakes, making it difficult for me to choose just one. I'm already thinking of reasons to pass by again i... View all feedback.
What SageTraveler doesn't like about Broughton Village Bakery Cafe:

On a wet day during the tour in the opposite, beautiful dame served us with a sausage roll and steak pipe for my man and me a cheese scoone, all were delicious my man said that it might be the best steak pipe he had eaten, we also had hot chocolate and tee got cake to take away
We have set up here to see what they do, ended up with a quiche, 2 cakes, a pasty and some cookies. all fantastic. steak and nierenkuchen were the best.
Opening times aren’t as listed on TripAdvisor! It actually closes at 2pm, so we weren’t able to go there. This is not a comment on their food; just a warning for other travellers!
A very nice, friendly place with great bread and reasonable prices. We enjoyed very much to be there because the lady serving us was helpful, friendly and patient.
When visiting the Lake District we always come here, the food is so reasonably priced and the baked goods are the best we have had.
