What Barry Cox doesn't like about Alessandros Takeaway:
I ordered a regular fish and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce When I saw the fish its had small black dots all throughout the batter and the fish itself. After throwing the fish away I had the chips with peas and the chips...were very hard and the sauce was time cold. I felt very I'll after consuming so had to throw what was left out. A waste of £15 read more.

I only got burgers from them and they are spot on.Nothing wow but fresh simple burgers.But for the price is very good.

"This is one of my favorite places in oxford, right in the heart of the cowley road – one of the most lively. I was here often for some great Arabic coffee and delicious baklava, but finally I felt compelled to try one of their main things. my only regret is that I didn't do it earlier! I had the kofta and can't wait to go to another. delicious lamb meatballs served with potato, tomato sauce and crumb infused brot."

"I asked the woman at the till if the restaurant was halal. She kindly answered a yes. I trusted her so I ate the chicken options which she confirmed were halal. What really worried me was the fact that I didn't see any halal certification or ask if there was any alchohol in some of their food. It was a delicious experience however and the food was well made and fresh. It was great and all, I'm just not sure if I was allowed to actually eat the food I never took a picture sorry"
