Lovely Saturday lunch with friends. Great food, excellent staff and fantastic views with the Red Kites of the Chilterns putting on a display throughout
Menu a little limited and the veg on one dish were over cooked. One desert not good, salted caramel. Service and ambience however excellent.
Delicious lunch. Our steaks were cooked to perfection! As others have remarked not that easy to find. Hint: ignore the sat nav and stay on the main road/lane.

"I've now been a few times to the Swan. Always a wonderful experience. The owners and staff are so lovely and friendly. Always welcoming and very relaxed. Kid friendly, great drinks and amazing food. Not cheap, of course, but an occasion nonetheless."

"Cedar Marlow really feels like a home from home. The staff always welcome you with a smile and it always feels like they are genuinely happy to see you. The food is second to none, and all the ingredients always taste fresh. They’ve recently made some updates to decor and the menu and they’ve somehow been able to elevate somewhere that was already excellent. The coffee here is easily the best in Marlow, with a taste that can only come from well sourced, freshly roasted beans. This place is always my go to in Marlow, for breakfast, lunch or a quick stop off for coffee. It’s a must if you’re ever in the area!"

"From the minute we arrived, we were treated like royal nature and felt special on every way. That was our first time here, but not our last time. eating was raised and every bite of my eating was amazing in every sight. giovanni was fantastic and was there to explain this wonderful experience and diana made sure we didn't want anything. perfect service. I've tasted steak before, but that was the best steak I've ever tasted in my life. the supplements were also amazing. this is now the best place for steak in berkshire. my son's birthday was made perfect by this restaurant. You're not a one until you've been here. it is a number 1 on her list when she loves steak as much as I."

"Went there for the sushi. The fish they use is good! The girl who was helping us could be a little bit more attentive but that’s okay. Now when it comes to sushi, there is 1 thing you need to do good and that is the rice. The rice wasn’t good, mainly too dense and it could use a little bit more flavour. It might have to do with the brand and the way they prepare the rice, but it needs to be fluffy and sticky. Pressing rice with force together to make it stick is something different …"

"On a wander round haunts of long ago, was disappointed with the Pheasant, which had run out of Guinness, charm, and, it seemed, hope. But no sooner had I left to plod sadly back into town than I came by this small cafe. Decided to revive my spirits with a coffee. Inside was greeted by the proprietress, a most welcoming, smart, erudite Brazilian. A Brazilian coffee shop on Mount Pleasant, Reading! Wonders will never cease. Of course, being Brazilian, Pau Brasil sold wonderful cakes. I asked about them, and the lady described the displayed delights enticingly. I couldn’t resist and took a seat outside on one of the two tables. Well, my cake was terrific–think it was called Ladrez or something–a sponge with chocolate chequers round the edges. Coffee excellent too. Pau Brasil had triggered a moment of Zen. The lady chatted to me out front and, when I asked, explained why the shop is called Pau Brasil, which involved a fascinating slice of cultural history. At the end, she said, “Thank you for being interested”. Que senhora maravilhosa! She and Pau Brasil made my day."
