The Argyll Pub - South Oxfordshire

They just come out here and leave them very stuffed and happy. we were only the 2nd table occupied (approx. 2.30 a.m. on a Tuesday,) which was as very hospitable chap behind the bar surprising, which made for a nice warm welcome. had drinks and dried through the open fire and our dog was treated dogs tasty and water dish. we then had a fabulous summit on a menu on the table next to us and our mouth started to water! for happiness they serve all day food so that it was made decision. 2 x piri piri half roast chicken, padron paprika and hot sauce and coleslaw. absolutely delicious. be warned, the hot sauce is hot. my man had been drinking that his face was flowing down. all employees were very friendly, also worth knowing in the decision to have ale or beer. prices also very good. will definitely be back and would recommend.

I could have had more staff. but good selection of taffeta and kegbier, plus several more. nice pub no less.

After a long journey from suffolk my partner and I looked for a nice place to eat and drink something. when we were near henley, we decided to go the argyll. as we are both enthusiastic midsomer murders fans, we immediately decided that this is the place to go. with a beautiful atmosphere, good eating and courteous employees, the argyll is a great place to enjoy good company over delicious eating. would definitely recommend and will be visited again! hopefully they enjoy the midsomer beer! also show the six nations, great witness!

Great pub in the center of henley. nice eating and a great selection of craft beers on keg and cask. enormous garden on the back to enjoy the sunshine

Came here as it is Dog friendly Pub. Great outside areas, tables cabins and tents. Yummy lunch menu. Chilli Con Carne delicious and good portion size for hungry bellies after 4 mile walk! Super Friendly efficient service. Highly recommended.
