Not too shabby, meaning it's good, but not great. The food is decent--from kebabs to wraps to hummus and babaganouj--it's what you'd expect from a middle eastern restaurant. The place is also pretty clean and there's plenty of seating. There is also plenty of parking on the street or in the Rite Aid lot across the street. For what it is, it's slightly on the pricey side. Oh, and please ditch the PAPER STRAWS. No one... View all feedback.
What Alex C doesn't like about Cafe X2o, South Pasadena:
I just get two plates spent 35 bucks and they just give me one garlic sauce and when I ask for extra one they want to charge extra dollar, that's not fair and I dislike de service View all feedback.
Good customer service and good food. I wish her portion sizes were somewhat larger, but her prices were very reasonable and taste was excellent. Especially the hummus was incredible.
My wife brought me to this Mediterranean restaurant in South Pasadena near her work that she and her friends always go there for lunch. My wife said they love themselves that food is really good. We came to the restaurant at the right time, it was the lunch time and they have a lunch special deal. My wife orders the falafel plate and I have the chicken cabobs and you choose your sides. It took about 20 minutes to have our meal ready to have everything in the restaurant is made from scratch and made to order. My meal comes with chicken cabobs, rice and garlic as my side and also Pita bread. The chicken cabobs were very delicate and juicy and full of taste that I really enjoy and the rice was incredibly good and fluffy that I really like. The garlic spread was very good I on the chicken and the rice it more taste then I on the Pita bread so good. The page was very good. My wife enjoys her falafel a lot, that is her favorite she says that the falafel have tons of flavors and they give a piece of falafel wow it was so good I enjoy it. Then she enjoys the hummus including the salad. My first time in the Cafe X20, the food was amazing. I told my wife we have to come back to try different things.
I tried several dishes and liked them all. Hummus is the best in this area. The fattoush salad is always really well made with the perfect amount of dressing. The chicken is juicy and well seasoned. The meat dishes are also basically if you are looking for really good Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food in South Pasadena, this is the place to get it.
The food was pretty good, though new wary of the olives if you get them. They are not pitted so if you decide to eat a mouthful like I did be warned you will bite down on seeds. You have been warned. The lamb was good though
It's all great! My complaint.. aside from the price, would have to be that I ordered the beef filet kebab, and they cooked it WellDone. It was very tough for a filet cut and had I known that was their default, I would have requested medium rare.
