We had lunch at Farington Lodge. The setting and surrounding grounds are beautiful and I should think it would be ideal for a wedding. The meal, however, was adequate for the most part, but not really good. The beef was too rare and very tough. I can't fault the service which was nothing short of excellent. "This place is a hidden gem, I have driven past so many times but have just never been in. Me, my mum and sister visited and had the autumn afternoon tea for my sisters birthday, we have had many afternoon teas over the years and this is definitely one of the best we’ve had. Everything was so delicious, the sausage roll was something else and the sandwiches lovely and soft. You could tell lots of effort had gone in to every little bit. The apple crumble with warm custard part way through was a lovely surprise too and the unlimited tea and coffee is a massive bonus. A special mention must go to the lovely girls who were serving us as they are a credit to you. We can’t wait to come back again very soon. Thank you for a lovely afternoon :"

"A hidden gem, Sakura Valley is a small restaurant that also does takeaway. The food is cooked by a lovely lady who explained the menu and recommended dishes for our first time at this Japanese. The food was amazing, the best meal we've had out in a long time. Each dish was cooked fresh when we ordered, which was a nice change from a lot of bigger places. If you want the sushi it's advised to phone and order 24 hours in advance as it will be made for you that day (and so the cook can prepare the hot dishes when you get there). We will 100% be back. The price was very reasonable and an overall great experience."
