What chezzah doesn't like about The Oak:
I hate writing bad reviews, but if you have worked all week and are wanting a treat on a weekend eating out somewhere then let this NOT be the place you go. Save yourself the stress and hard earned cash and make yourself a jam butty which im certain you will enjoy much more than this slop that was served up to me on Saturday. The most friendly and friendly staff! chef was very courteous and had a total amazing experience, would definitely recommend.

We made a last minute decision to eat in the evening of Mother's Day. what a happy choice we have made? although very busy a table was found and we enjoyed three excellent meals. from the moment we went, we were impressed by the cheerful and friendly staff, especially megan, our hostess and server. she was charming and ozed efficiency and hospitable. our food was well presented, served hot and was delicious. we have a really happy and friendly bush over the place and commented that we are visiting to pay a return visit. (the 5 stars food hygiene assessment is a soothing bonus) overall we consider this an excellent place for a no frills good quality pub meal. I intend to mention it to friends, and I am confident that they will not be disappointed.
Large owners and staff. we come every week after the brilliant baby cherubs baby group for delicious food and great coffee. they care about babies and children by making toys and a safe area for them. we cannot recommend it enough!
Food was brilliant and the staff are extremely friendly. It had been very busy during the day and had apparently been understaffed however this didn't affect the quality of the food, service or cleanliness of the place. Highly recommended and will be coming back regularly
