Superb food and service in a traditional country pub. Dishes are imaginative without being of the 4 pomegranate seed school of cooking. Arancini and scotch eggs are memorable. We returned to The White Horse after a really poor meal many months ago. I am sorry to say that this was equally awful. Overcooked fish, dry and tasteless, chicken on a tepid plate with nondescript goo passing as sauce. Burnt sauce potatoes.
