We did not eat here so can not comment on the food, but we did have drinks after shopping at DFO South Wharf. It is handy to the mall and also to the bridge to take you back over the river to the trams. We sat outside and the waiter turned on the heater to keep it warm. We then spied the table tennis table and spent the next 2 hours playing table tennis and drinking cocktails (highly recommend the Southside Cocktail)... View all feedback.
What Kirsten Miller doesn't like about The General Assembly:
We ate here because it was one of the few places we could find salads on the outside menu. Salads were good, and it's along the water so a nice view/atmosphere. Bottle of wine had pretty high markup. Service was great and there is live music in the bar side of the large establishment. Nothing negative, nothing outstanding, but the service. View all feedback.

We called in to The General Assembly on a Saturday night after hearing live music as we walked around past. There was live acoustic music playing covers of well known, favourite songs. The venue had a great vibe. We also had some drinks and a light dinner. The food was delicious and prepared very quick. We will be back.
We ate here twice and were completely happy with the staff, the service and the food. Watching the chefs prepare it all was a bonus.
