We had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant during our trip. Our waitress, Olivia, was incredible. I ordered the filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. My brother-in-law really enjoyed his pigeon dish, and we all loved the menu selection. More. View all feedback.
What Avery Morrissey doesn't like about Ports Of Call:
Very disappointed. It took us 1:45 mins to even get our food. We have been coming here for years and the service have never been this way. It took 10 mins to even get the waiter over for water/drinks. Food is always good. But our waiter didn’t even come check on us nor did we get bread. A table of 10 plus that was sat after got their food faster. The waiter made a comment. That he had never seen someone eat so fast i... View all feedback.
We just had one of the best meals I’ve ever experienced in Southport. The chef outdid himself in food preparation and presentation. Service also extremely good. All 5 of us raved about our choices from curried asparagus soup to the cod, shrimp, scallop, braised short ribs, tuna and the desserts were equally fabulous. 5 stars for everything!!
Had dinner here for the first time this evening. A very nice atmosphere, live music, great service, and the best food we've had out in a long time. I had the salmon. My wife had the cod special. After trying each others dishes, we unanimously agreed that everything was excellent.
Ports of Call is a great little restaurant in downtown Southport. They have a great little bar and offer live music some evenings which is really nice. The service has always been good and the food is delicious. They have been very accommodating with my gluten allergy each time we have gone.
I pay taxes in Oak Island and I have NEVER had a bad meal here. If you sit at the bar, the bartenders will absolutely take care of you if you need it, whether it be drinks, dessert, or dinner. Shout out to Carol and Brian for being awesome!
Absolutely phenomenal dinner! The Cod piccata special with Parmesan Spinat Risotto was scattered and perfectly cooked and was full of taste. The pork pliers special ordered another member of my party was also super delicate and had a great taste due to the sauce that would be sweet if you ate it first, but as it put in the mouth it would get spicy. I've never had that before. The fried oyster appetizer was also very tasty, which is great, as my first time tried oysters. My waitress, Tia, was very knowledgeable about the menu and was incredibly friendly. Whenever we ordered a crème brûlée, she gave us 2 and made them both on the house. I'll eat 100000% here again, and I highly recommend it. Update 12/30/21: Again visited for my birthday dinner and was still as amazing as last time. Bangkok Shrimp Appetizer has a great taste and the shrimps are some of the best I ever had. Since it was my birthday, I felt particularly strenuous so I ordered the seafood risotto. Absolutely huge portion size (I had to take half of it home with me. The lobsters, scallops and shrimps were perfectly cooked and the risotto itself had a creamy and delicious taste. The spinach also added a very nice touch. The other memes of my party ordered the cunning pig and the chicken with the butter milk potatoes and they were also of the highest quality. My waitress, Tia, is the absolute best and knows how to join the guests properly. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I had to get another cream brûlée since it was of course my birthday and it was still as perfect as last time. It reminds me sincerely of a roasted marshmallow taste; creamy, light, not too rich, and that different tastes of heated sugar
