Visited a couple of evenings whilst staying opposite in Anchor hotel across the square. This is a comfortable pub with a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are very attentive. We had That food, ordered at bar and sat in top bar area watching football on high level screens, the food was superb and atmosphere great, what’s not to like! Recommended! View all feedback.

We booked for Sunday lunch a special occasion. We arrived slightly early to have a drink in the bar. Staff seem preoccupied and inattentive Altho we had booked we were told after Ordering due to a large party there was unlikely to be a roast left. We left the pub after our drink in total shock.
