Went up to Semmering from Vienna for a day trip to see the snow, and hopefully do a cable ride, but it was closed because of poor visibility .... so instead we went in here for a gluhwein and a bite to eat, and it was delicious.... so quaint, with the views of the snowy mountain as the backdrop, and tucked into the mountain, it is like a picture postcard, I loved it here! read more.

I actually really liked this restaurant right up until the point of paying the bill. Overall the prices were fine for a ski resort but when I saw 6 Euros for KETCHUP on the bill I almost fell off my chair. The ketchup was offered with the Schnitzel in 6 very un environmentally friendly sachets. They were not requested nor were they anywhere listed in the menu which I scrutinized after Ketchup gate.
