I just had takeout here (04/28/24) the food was really very good, got a roll and chicken bento. The waitress was polite and patient. honestly while i was only there for a few minutes i have to say that the atmosphere was very nice, and calm people where talking and enjoying themselves but not as the expense of there neighbors. I must say in its entirety it was an excellent experience. I will definitely be returning f... View all feedback.
What Bopped YT doesn't like about Sakura Japanese Sushi Grill:
As soon as I walked in, it smelled like I walked right into being crop dusted by some fat guy on his way out, he definitely had shrimp fried rice with extra wasabi, not a good first impression. View all feedback.
The best sushi place I’ve been yet! Mom&pop vibes with the quality of a Michelin star restaurant! I tried the fire roll, daikon maki, and crystal roll. They somehow have amazingly fresh seafood despite being in middle America. I will be back!
I've been to Sakura on multiple occasions and it's a treat every time. The staff are always friendly and the food is delicious for this part of the country. If I had to point out an issue it would be that it's difficult to tell if they are closed from the outside of the restaurant. Other than that I would highly recommend their sushi.
This place was absolutely amazing! We beat the crowd on a Saturday evening for date night and ended up spending about $80 because we wanted to try a lot of things. I have celiac and the waitress was very nice and knowledgeable, the food was beautifully prepared, and I had no reaction. The atmosphere is cozy and even as a crowd rolled in, it did not get too congested or loud. We will definitely be going back for more soon!Dietary restrictions: I have reactive celiac and experienced no reaction. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful when it came to suggestions. I could have almost anything except the crunch, eel sauce, and tempera. Certain things could be subbed for others and gluten-free soy sauce was provided for me.
I speak three languages but that wasn’t enough for Mata
Took over 45 minutes at 1:30 on a Sunday to get any of the food. There were not that many people in the restaurant. $18 for combination plates that had almost no food on them; seriously anemic portions. The combo fried rice I got was decently portioned, but the meat was so overcooked it was chewy and rubbery. I don’t ever plan on going back. But the atmosphere was cool, very clean and nice.
