The restaurant offered an early bird menu with fantastic choices. Our server was very attentive and ensured that our food was served hot and delicious. We never had to ask for a refill on our drinks. It was just as good as we remembered. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Parmesan or spaghetti with their large meatballs. View all feedback.
What Julia H doesn't like about Cucina Giovanni:
Upon entering the restaurant, the atmosphere was dim and gloomy, in need of better lighting. I was instructed to seat myself by the only waitress working that day. Despite there being only a few tables, she seemed overwhelmed and took nearly 30 minutes just to take my drink order. When she finally came back, she seemed flustered and rushed. My veal valdosta came with two sides, a Caesar salad and an upcharged side of... View all feedback.
My husband and I were touring St. Augustine and stopped in for dinner. We had delicious manicotti, sides of sausage and potatoes. Those dishes were hot and delicious. We also ordered a side of meatballs. The meatballs were large and had a nice red sauce...but they came out hard packed and room temperature. The place was clean and service good. While there, we witnessed a great moment between a police officer and a boy.
The best Italian restaurant I've ever go, not just in Jacksonville but over the countries I've visited and ate Italian food.fresh, delicious, smells fantastic and looks great ?.The hospitality was geat and beyond. the servers are really carrying.very very clean place, even when it's full of people ? ?definitely will go back and highly recommend to visit.I'm one satisfied customer.Thank you ?
Food was delicious! My husband and I went for a late lunch and got fried calamari as an appetizer and we each ordered the cheese pizza. Everything came out fast and it was all delicious we ate everything! Our waitress was awesome and it was an overall great experience! Looking forward to next time ?
Wow, what an amazing surprise! we tried this place because he was close and we are so glad we stopped! the server was excellent fun and the eating was great. definitiw fresh homemade. great atmosphere. the meatballs were the best I ever had and the Alfredo sauce was perfect. return to any case and bring friends family! a hidden gem in st. augustine.
My man and I were here for our date night. we ordered a pepperoni and the meat lovers roll for our dinner. we also had their garlic knots and my man ordered a whisky (high west, neat) what a disappointment. eating looked really good when it was brought out, but it certainly didn't taste good. the food was dirty. the garlic knots hardly had a garlic taste, they reminded me of butter rolls. there were literally zero Italian seasoned in red sauce, calzone and meat roll. I've never been to an Italian restaurant that had no season in it. we couldn't even force ourselves to eat half of it and we were hungry! we went to another restaurant. our server, randy, was very nice.
